March 28th : Date for Annual Members Meeting (AMM) set for Friday 27th September, more details to be circulated over the summer.

March 4th : The pub is now fully up and running with a full menu and drinks offering - see the pub website for full details (as below)

February 6th : Pub website re-designed to match with updated pub sign and name - www.thebellatyarpole.co.uk

February 3rd : The pub is re-opening initially for drinks only on Friday 8th February at 5pm, food will follow soon after.

February 1st : This is the date that the new tenants of The Bell at Yarpole - Carole Dare and Sally Milsom move to the pub, full opening to be announced soon.  

January 11th : Martin Flaherty has taken-over as Chair, many thanks to Kate Darby for her hard work in getting the Society established.

August 28th : The Mortimer Community Benefit Society Ltd have reached agreement to buy The Bell Inn from Enterprise Inns, all our funding has been local.

August 22nd : Total raised so far £208,000 - discussions with a major donor are nearly concluded, so this figure should increase significantly very soon...

August 10th : Over £150,000 raised in the first week through the share offer!

June 19th : First informal interview  with potential pub tenant.

June 15th : Formal business survey of The Bell being undertaken by MJD Hughes.

​June 8th : Steering Group meet to finalise share offer and Business Plan before going public.

June 6th : Updated pledges from the community now exceed £175,000 pledged by 118 individuals.

May 30th : The Society is now registered with The Plunkett Foundation and has received an initial grant to aid progress and set-up costs.

May 30th : Support for buying The Bell Inn is currently at over 80% of villagers surveyed.

May 29th : Current pledges from the community now exceed £160,000.

May 28th : Meeting held to formalise Business Plan and discuss funding. 

May 24th : Steering Group meet to elect committee and agree constitution.

May 5th : Hereford Times, Worcester News and The Droitwich Advertiser run articles about our campaign.

May 4th : Steering Group elect to form a Community Benefit Society. 

May 3rd : First public meeting held at Yarpole church attended by around 150 residents, presentations given by Steering Group members.

April 5th : First meeting of residents organised to agree plan to buy The Bell.
